Here at Ashbridge our baby unit and nursery department has been developed to
the most rigorous standards, ensuring that you can leave your child in the
safest of hands.
Well-qualified staff are led by experienced Nursery Managers who ensure that
children enjoy the high quality care and education necessary for their development.
The environment, facilities and resources have been designed to create a relaxed,
happy atmosphere, and bright, stimulating areas are set aside to cater specifically
for the various development stages.
The youngest babies are looked after in our purpose-built unit for children under
2 years. A key worker system operates throughout the nursery, which we see as
crucial for the development of our relationship with the children and their families.
Comprehensive policies and clear procedures are applied to ensure that the health,
safety and security of the children are paramount. Regular inspections and visits
from outside agencies confirm our commitment to the highest standards, and we
hold the prestigious Quality Counts Kite Mark, awarded by the National Day Nursery
Association in 2004.
 These
firm foundations enable our children to attain high levels of achievement when
they move on from nursery to school. Transition into the reception class is smooth,
ensuring progress is maintained at this critical time.
There is no doubt that children benefit enormously from shared social experiences,
and the progress of each pupil is monitored closely in all areas. This enables
