ISI Report

As an independent school we are inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in line with the Department for Education’s Independent School Standards. The ISI hold two types of inspection, an educational quality inspection together with focused compliance and a full regulatory compliance inspection. In both types of inspection the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) undergoes a full quality inspection.

The educational quality inspection focuses on pupil’s achievement and personal development, including lesson observations and work scrutiny, with the compliance section focusing on areas such as safeguarding and staff suitability. The full compliance inspection checks that the school is meeting all the Independent School Standards, including quality of education, pupil’s well-being and development, safeguarding and health and safety, amongst other things.

Our most recent quality inspection was in March 2022 where we were judged to be Excellent in all areas, across all of school and nursery.  This is the highest grade awarded by the ISI and a fantastic achievement.

Our last regulatory compliance inspection was in June 2017 where we were judged to be compliant in all eight areas of the standards, with all 485 guidance points in the standards being met.

Ashbridge Nursery and Ashbridge on Ribble Nursery were also inspected in March 2022 and were judged to be outstanding in all areas, the highest grade possible.

Our other nurseries are inspected by OFSTED and details can be found in the Ashbridge Nursery at Maxy Farm and The Fledglings areas of the website.
