As a scientist, I have always loved practical work, investigating and trying to solve problems and test predictions. As a teacher, I particularly love teaching maths and have recently gained new knowledge and experience in computing and other aspects of ICT.
I love walking and travelling and combining the two. A few years ago, I walked along a glacier past the Everest Base Camp, which was an amazing experience. I also like to scuba dive, but only in tropical waters! A keen reader and movie watcher, I enjoy fiction and nonfiction books and any movies involving space travel or history.

My greatest passion within my role at Ashbridge is employee engagement. I am dedicated to motivating our staff team to deliver the highest quality care and education to the children entrusted to us. I am happily married and the proud mother of three daughters, Aurora, Elva, and Flora, all of whom attend Ashbridge. My personal experience as a parent at Ashbridge gives me a unique perspective and a deeper commitment to ensuring the best for our children and their families.

Career Overview
I have been part of the Ashbridge family for many years and joined the school as a pupil in its very first year! After graduating from Manchester Medical School, I worked as a Doctor in the NHS for five years before deciding to join the team at Ashbridge. My chosen clinical speciality was Psychiatry and I also completed a BSc in Psychology alongside my medical degree.
Professional and Personal Interests
From my experience working in clinical psychiatry and from studying for my Psychology degree I have developed a keen interest in the social, emotional and cognitive development of early childhood, as well as the theories around ‘Attachment’. Outside of work I enjoy going for long walks in the countryside with my husband and our two daughters, Orla and Reeva, who attend Ashbridge Nursery at Maxy Farm, and our dog, Hector. I am also a black belt in Shotokan Karate and a qualified Ski Instructor!

I have taught for many years and my career with Ashbridge began in 1992 becoming the founding Headteacher for the School from 1995 to 2014 leading on to my current position as Director of Quality.

I am passionate about the importance of early years and primary education. I particularly enjoy sharing this passion with others within our teams to ensure children benefit from high-quality teaching, experiences, and opportunities.
My sons and granddaughters attended the nursery and school and I enjoy family time, gardening, and travelling to new and exciting places.

I have worked at Ashbridge as Director of HR since 2020, when I was fortunate enough to bring all HR functions in-house, strengthening our people strategy and approaches to having a happy workplace! Prior to Ashbridge, I worked as a Senior Leader in Health and Social Care for 14 years. I have also supported children with disabilities and SEN at a local primary school, where I realised my love of working with people!
Professional and Personal Interests
I love supporting people in realising their potential, and my role as an HR professional allows me to do this. I have recently enjoyed establishing a very popular apprenticeship scheme that is going from strength to strength.
In my personal life, I really enjoy spending time outdoors with my family – we go for big walks in the Lake District, paddleboard, and camp, and we are all big live music fans, so we love to attend local events!

Professional and Personal Interests
I believe that inspiring students to learn is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a teacher. Currently, I teach Mathematics and also take the lead in implementing Outdoor Learning activities in school. I am a Level 3 Forest School Practitioner and hold two Mountain Training awards, the Lowland Leader and Camping Leader certifications.
I enjoy hiking and engaging in wild camping adventures. Besides my love for nature, I am an avid reader, always seeking to expand my knowledge and understanding. I am a dedicated guitarist and find joy in both playing and attending concerts.

After graduating from Edge Hill University in 2015, I started working at Ashbridge as a Teaching Assistant in Year 2. I became a Reception Class Teacher in January 2017, completed some further professional development at Edge Hill University, and gained an outstanding judgement for the Early Years Teacher Status.
Professional and Personal Interests
I am most interested in music and how to incorporate it into all areas of the curriculum. Music can help develop the skills, attitudes, and attributes that support learning in other national curriculum subjects.
I enjoy exploring new places and going on long walks with my dog, Woody. I am also a keen musician, achieving Grade 7 in piano and singing.

I have been primary teaching for 25 years and have also worked with Edge Hill University as an Associate Tutor, delivering training sessions to mentor teachers and teaching both RE and Art to students.
Professional and Personal Interests
Qualifying to become a Level 3 Forest Practitioner has given me a whole host of experiences and skills to immerse and inspire the children in our environment. My personal interests include a love of Art, which extends to all aspects of design and techniques and involves visiting galleries or exhibitions. I like to be active and enjoy travelling to new places, but I am equally happy tending the garden or attending my book club.

I spent five years directing theatre productions across the North West of England. I was responsible for writing, designing, and directing full-scale performances with casts of children aged eight to 18. Since qualifying as a teacher in 2019, I have been teaching Year 2 here at Ashbridge School.
Professional and Personal Interests
I thoroughly enjoy the creative arts and love to explore different elements of the arts within various lessons at Ashbridge, including Science, English, and Ashbridge’s weekly Musical Theatre Club. When I am not teaching, I like to spend time hiking, enjoying the British countryside, and doing a spot of photography. I love to travel and try to explore new countries and places as often as I can.

I have been teaching for over 10 years now and began at Ashbridge initially as a TA in 2012. I have recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Supporting Children with Literacy Difficulties and my Dyslexia Assessors course.
Professional and Personal Interests
I have always enjoyed working with children and find great joy in nurturing and supporting their success. With a strong passion for science, I take on the role of Science Lead in the school. I have a particular interest in supporting children with additional needs, such as dyslexia, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive academically and personally.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, singing, and going for walks. I also cherish spending quality time with my young family, creating memories for the future. Through my dedication to education and the development of children, I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of my students, colleagues, and the community.

I have worked at Ashbridge since 2004. During that time, I taught in Pre-School, Year 2, Year 3, and now in Year 4. I have also held the role of nursery SENCO.
Professional and Personal Interests
I love teaching all subjects but my main passion is maths. One of the reasons I became a teacher was to instil a belief in children that they can do maths and try to erase the negative stigma that can become attached to it.
I have been married to Matt since 2012, and we have two children, Zac and Belle, who both attend Ashbridge Independent School. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, listening to music, and going to concerts.

I have been teaching since 2004 and have been at Ashbridge since 2012. I am the Joint Subject Leader for English and MFL.
Professional and Personal Interests
As a linguist, I have a passion for travel and a love of languages. Having lived abroad for several years, I have gained invaluable insights and a broader perspective that have without doubt contributed to my personal growth and development.
My primary role as a teacher is to nurture the children and I believe that a well-rounded education goes beyond textbooks and exams. Currently, I am developing my skills and knowledge in supporting children’s emotional well-being by pursuing a Level 2 certificate in child counselling. This qualification will hopefully equip me to provide the necessary support and guidance to help the children in our school navigate the complexities of their emotions and experiences in a positive and constructive manner. Within the classroom, I am committed to creating a supportive and enriching learning environment where every child can thrive academically, spiritually, and emotionally.

I have been teaching for over 10 years and have been in Year 6 for the last 8 years. During my career, I have been a subject leader for Music, PE, and Computing.
Professional and Personal Interests
As a passionate and dedicated teacher, I bring a blend of interests to the classroom with the aim of inspiring my pupils. I have a love for music that has developed over the years; and now find myself as the lead singer of a band. I enjoy keeping fit by playing football, going to new locations for walks, and going to the gym. I was inspired to get into teaching by one of my primary school teachers and I strive to ignite a lifelong curiosity and enthusiasm for learning in all the children I teach.

I joined Ashbridge in January 2020 as the P.E. Coach and Sports Curriculum Lead. Before Ashbridge, I was a TA at a variety of high schools working in their P.E. departments. I also worked as a Football Coach at a professional club for close to four years prior to joining Ashbridge.
Personal and Professional Interests
I enjoy coaching all levels of pupils from pre-school right through to high school. I pride myself on delivering a wide range of sports to suit all children, from the P.E. curriculum to after-school clubs and fixtures.
During holidays and free time, I like to stay active by playing sports, including football and golf, and going on hikes and walks. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and feel most relaxed when around people and working in teams or groups to pass the time.

I have been a freelance music teacher for over 30 years, working in various settings, including primary schools, nurseries, and music schools. I have worked at Ashbridge since 2018.
Professional and Personal Interests
I have a strong interest in teaching through songs. I am a piano teacher and have been teaching and managing a piano school in Cheshire for over 20 years.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, anything related to music, and being part of a local quiz team.

I began my career working for a social enterprise for 21 years that provided horticultural provision for people with learning disabilities and mental health. During this time, I also delivered training from entry level though to Level 3 in Horticulture for Lancaster & Morecambe College and external verification for other local colleges. I started working for Ashbridge in 2018.
Professional and Personal Interests
I really enjoy sharing my horticultural knowledge and getting people excited about gardening. I’m very keen to involve children in all aspects of growing and ensuring that they see and experience as much as possible in our kitchen garden. Sitting down in our beautiful outdoor space and enjoying our own grown produce that we have started from seed is incredibly satisfying.
My time away from work is spent with my husband and three boys. We love walking our two dogs Bailey and Oscar and generally being outdoors. I enjoy gardening as you might expect! We visit many beautiful gardens around the UK and I spend as much time in the garden as I can.

I started training at Ashbridge in 2008 and have worked here ever since. In that time I have worked through NCFE Level 2 and 3 for Teaching Assistants, progressing onto HLTA in 2017. I work alongside Miss Seaton/Mrs Maskery in Reception Class supporting their teaching and providing a wide range of activities, support and extension for the children.
Professional Interests
I have a strong focus on teaching the foundation of reading and writing through phonics development. I believe in providing a caring and nurturing environment based around EYFS for children in Reception class as this helps them learn and develop in this crucial year. I also enjoy working with children higher up the school who may need additional support in reading and writing.
Personal interests
Both my children attended Ashbridge school from 18 months of age and continued their education here until Year 6. My daughter has just completed her Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology and has secured an assistant Psychologists role. My son Thomas is currently travelling the world after studying A levels at Hutton Grammar School. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends and love reading and walking in our lovely countryside.

Career Overview
With a background in running my own business and raising a family, I made the decision to reshape my career around my children’s school schedule. This led me to pursue education training, and since 2012, I’ve been fortunate enough to work as a Teaching Assistant in various school settings. I joined Ashbridge School in 2021 after volunteering in Year 3, and I currently work alongside Miss Bird, as well as assist with After School Care.
Professional Interests
I find working with Year 1 students incredibly rewarding, particularly witnessing their ‘Lightbulb’ moments when things click. I am passionate about the importance of regular reading, seeing firsthand how it positively impacts their learning journey.
Personal interests
Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, especially on long country walks with our two dogs. I’m also an avid cyclist—though I prefer to ride on sunny days!

After completing my NNEB back in 1997. I have worked in a variety of childcare settings before starting at Ashbridge. I started my Ashbridge journey back in October 2004, my Ashbridge journey began in nursery as a nursery nurse, not long after I became a room leader. I have had many varied roles during my time here I was fortunate enough to be asked to join the school team as a teaching assistant in the infant department.
Career Overview
I am based in the infant department; I’m currently working as a teaching assistant in year two. I really enjoy working in school with this age group, seeing how much they develop over the year knowing I have helped them to blossom into juniors and beyond, continuing to secondary school and beyond. I also in before and after school, and in the holidays.
Personal interests
When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends including my nephew. I enjoy walks in the countryside, going on bike rides, DIY, camper van adventures and reading books.

As an avid reader myself, my role at Ashbridge allows me to promote, support and nurture a lifelong love of reading. Sarah has worked in administration and support roles for many years in various organisations such as BAE Systems, NHS and Our Lady’s Catholic High School.
Professional and Personal Interests
As an administrator she enjoys being given a challenge and then delivering the end result to a high standard. She strives to ensure that whoever she is supporting can achieve their full potential by giving them the tools and confidence to thrive. Sarah loves to travel and has managed to visit lots of different countries in her time such as South Africa, Canada, Antigua, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Canary Islands as well as lots of towns, cities and villages in the United Kingdom. In her spare time, she enjoys crafts such as pyrography, flower arrangements, crochet and baking. She is a keen reader and she loves crime novels based on forensic investigations such as those by Kathy Reichs and Karin Slaughter.

I have worked at Ashbridge Nursery, Hutton, since June 2011. I started as an apprentice, completing my Level 3 qualification. I gained experience working across all age ranges in the nursery. Once my qualification was finished, I progressed to a Room Leader. In October 2018, I became a Team Leader and progressed to Head of Nursery in February 2023.
Professional and Personal Interests
I am passionate about giving children the best possible start to their early education. Seeing children grow, learn and develop throughout their journey with us. Instilling this into my staff team is crucial. In my spare time, I spend lots of time with my niece. I have a 4-year-old labrador, and I am a massive football fan!

Career Overview
I started at Ashbridge in 2010 after many years of working alongside adults with additional needs. Soon after starting at Ashbridge, I began my NVQ Level 3 in childcare, working in the baby unit. I went on to complete an NVQ Level 3 in Leadership and Management in 2016, which helped me recognise different approaches to learning styles. In 2018, I went on maternity leave and returned in 2019 as a team leader then soon progressed to Nursery Manager. Since 2020, I have been the Curriculum and Practice Manager across the baby unit.
Professional and Personal Interests
I have a passion for children learning and exploring through the awe and wonder of the world, as well as building strong nurturing relationships with their key person. I also love to build relationships with parents and families, supporting each family in transitioning into Ashbridge.
I have two children who I love to spend time with outside of work. Having two boys means we are very active spending most of our time at football, martial arts, or tennis. We also enjoy going for walks, going on holiday to new countries, and staying in for movie nights.

Career Overview
I began my early years career at Ashbridge in 2009. My role progressed to Room Leader, and I qualified as Level 4. I have experience in both the baby classes and the 2-3s classes. In 2016, I had my third child and returned to Ashbridge as a Team Leader to support our Room Leaders and their teams.
Professional and Personal Interests
All three of my children have attended Ashbridge Nursery and School and loved every aspect of their time here. Ashbridge is my family, and I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my knowledge and skills. I am very passionate about early years and, in my opinion, I have the best job in the world.
Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family, often baking and walking our dog, Baxter. I enjoy going to theme parks, concerts and the theatre and I’m a fan of Formula 1!

Career Overview
I have worked as a receptionist and administrator within healthcare since 2012. Original starting within the general community before transferring into a more 121 patient facing role. During the last 13 years I have worked with some of our communities’ most vulnerable people and really developed a passion for helping people from all walks of life.
Professional Interests
I really enjoying being a welcoming and friendly face that people can feel calm and reassured by. Since finishing school, I have always aspired to work with children. After having my little boy in 2023, I felt it was the right time and opportunity to combine both my work and personal experiences into my role at Ashbridge.
Personal Interests
In my personal time I love spending time with my husband and our little boy. We enjoy days out at the farm and zoo and love spending time with our wider family.

Level Three Forest School Leader
Career Overview
I have been working at Ashbridge since April 2025. Prior to this, I worked as a Primary School Teacher for around five years in which I gained valuable experience of teaching children aged 4-11. Whilst teaching, I completed my Level 3 Forest School Leader Qualification and developed my knowledge and experience of the Forest School ethos in my role as Forest School Lead.
Professional Interests
I am passionate about Forest School in early years education, focusing on child-led, outdoor learning that nurtures curiosity, resilience, and holistic development. I am particularly interested in how nature- based experiences foster a lifelong love of learning and environmental stewardship from a young age. I have completed my Level One Makaton qualification, and I am interested in learning more signs with the children!
Personal Interests
When not at work, I spend lots of time with my sisters. I enjoy going to the theatre to watch musicals, exploring new brunch spots and spontaneous trips to the Lake District.

Career Overview
I started my career with Ashbridge at Hutton Nursery as the Nursery Chef in 2001. I held this position for three years before I decided to complete my L3 qualification when I then transferred to The Fledglings Nursery as the Deputy Manager for seven years. I became Head of Nursery at Ashbridge-on-Ribble and subsequently left to open our newest site, Maxy Farm, in 2017.
Professional and Personal Interests
I am so very passionate about child development and meeting new families for the first time, especially reassuring first-time mums and dads. I am very happy about this. My office is always open, and I am always ready to listen to worried parents and their concerns.
All three of my children attended Ashbridge, which has led to a strong foundation for their careers and adult lives. At home, I am often found with my husband watching our children play sports or with the love of our lives, the centre of our family, our dog Ralph.

Career Overview
I began my career in Early Years at 16 when I enrolled on my L2 apprenticeship in childcare. Following my L2 apprenticeship, I got my first job at a nursery where I stayed for 7 years and completed my L3 in Childcare and my L3 in Leadership. In November 2017 I came to Ashbridge as a Nursery Practitioner and in the Summer of 2024, I very proudly became Nursery Manager.
Personal and Professional Interests
Allowing children access to a wide range of materials to express themselves creatively is where my passion truly lies. Children need freedom to explore the world and find their own way, creative play helps support this. In my personal time, I am often found with my daughter and partner on our paddle boards over in the Lake District; we take every opportunity to get outdoors. I enjoy socialising with my family and friends, and to relax and unwind, I really enjoy crime books and documentaries.

Career Overview
I have worked for Ashbridge since February 2015, originally starting my career at Ashbridge-on-Ribble, where I worked my way from practitioner to room leader. I then transferred over to Maxy Farm upon my return from maternity leave and have recently become Deputy Manager.
Professional and Personal Interests
I love all aspects of childhood development, but supporting communication and language has to be my favourite. Watching children’s faces light up as they learn to communicate and connect with others is amazing; I love teaching the children Makaton signs, too! I also have a very big love for children’s books and love to encourage children to foster a love for books and reading.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Stuart, two beautiful daughters, Ella and Edie, and our dog, Charlie.

I joined Ashbridge at Maxy Farm in November 2023. Prior to this role, I have always worked in customer-facing roles. I enjoy a fast-paced office where I can mix with a lot of people. I love my role here at Ashbridge and being the first face many of our visitors and families see each day.
Professional and Personal Interests
My son attended Ashbridge, and it was a wonderful experience for him, which led me to work with the group. Outside of work, I love to hike with my friends and son and travel to new places with friends and family. Being the first face that our staff, parents, and visitors see is an aspect of my job that I really love, and I look forward to coming to work each day because of this.

I have been working in early years education for over eight years, with most of my experience teaching in the EYFS. I joined Ashbridge at the start of 2024 as part of the Management Team, overseeing the two to threes and supporting our SENCO.
Professional and Personal Interests
Ashbridge allows me to take the areas of early years I love the most and develop them across our family; by building a solid foundation for children with additional needs, I have been able to expand my knowledge and use my SENCO experience to support children, families, and staff who work with special educational needs.
Outside of Ashbridge, I am a huge Formula 1 fan! My team is Ferrari and I hope to travel the world and attend as many races as I can.

Career Overview
I have worked in early years for over 20 years and have worked at Ashbridge for most of that time, where I have been fortunate enough to have worked at three of our settings. I started as a Nursery Practitioner and worked my way up to Nursery Manager. I have worked with all ages of children from three months up to four years.
Professional and Personal Interests
I am very passionate about the importance of building strong attachments with our children. I love watching the children explore and learn and develop and enjoy looking through their eyes at all of the exciting opportunities we provide for them. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my three cats. I enjoy watching movies and going out on nice walks. I am an avid baker and creator of cards and wonderful artwork.

I have been working in early years for 11 years and have been a manager for five years in a variety of early years settings. I have been at Ashbridge since January 2024.
Professional and Personal Interests
I have spent three years working for the DfE as a Mentor as part of their Early Years Recovery Programme. This has allowed me to network with other settings and share good practice with practitioners around Lancashire. I recently took part in the Ofsted Shadowing Programme, which allowed me to broaden my knowledge around inspections. I love spending time with my family and friends and will find any excuse to have a get-together. I enjoy reading and going for long walks.

Career Overview
I have been a nursery practitioner since 2015, when I moved to England. I started with Ashbridge in 2021 as room leader then progressed as Deputy Manager alongside Charlotte.
Professional and Personal Interests
In my role as a Deputy Manager, I love creating a trusting relationship with all parents and ensuring a high standard of learning, development, and care for all our children. I also ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff, and others.
During my spare time, I love sewing, going for walks in the Lake District, and spending as much time as possible outdoors. I also love music, going to gigs, and travelling. I visit my family in Italy every time I can.

Career Overview
I have worked at Ashbridge for around 6 years and worked in all age ranges, from babies to preschool. Starting my career at Ashbridge at our Maxy Farm site, I have worked my way up through the company from Room Leader to Team Leader, and now I work at The Fledglings as part of the Management Team.
Professional and Personal Interests
I am a family-oriented person, and I love spending time with my loved ones. I enjoy being active and going to see live music bands with my friends. I am passionate about making a difference to each child’s learning and development. I love helping others and supporting people, which I carry out day to day within the nursery. A favourite part of my role is talking to parents and carers and creating strong bonds. My main priority is making the children happy!

Career Overview
I have worked in early years education since 2000, and I have worked for Ashbridge since 2005. I started as a nursery practitioner and worked my way up to Deputy Manager and then Manager. Since having my second child, I came back to working as a Team Leader in the Baby Unit.
Professional and Personal Interests
I have spent most of my working years working with under twos, which is my passion. I enjoy providing care and nurturing babies.
In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my family, going on bike rides, and exploring the outdoors.

Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
Level 3 Certificate in Forest school programme leadership.
Career Overview
I have been working in early years education for around 20 years, gaining experience across different age groups and roles. In September last year, I qualified as a Forest School Leader, and I am eager to deepen my knowledge and expertise in this field.
Professional & Personal Interests
As a Forest School Leader, I am passionate about nature, outdoor learning, and inspiring others to connect with the environment. I also love walking and recently took on the challenge of climbing Snowdon at night to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. In my free time, I enjoy baking, watching movies, and spending quality time with my family.
