Curriculum

We fully embrace the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), whilst also enjoying the freedom to implement fresh and creative approaches which are foundations for future learning. Our flexible and innovative approaches to teaching and learning ensure children become confident, rounded individuals who are eager and capable learners.

There is no doubt that children benefit enormously from shared social experiences, and the progress of each pupil in this and all other areas is monitored closely. This enables us to keep parents fully informed and to plan carefully for the future.

Our early years curriculum is designed to systematically build on each stage of a children development. We know that all areas of learning are important and choose to focus on developing communication, language and vocabulary providing opportunities for meaning full learning to take place. Experienced early years teachers and practitioners work and collaborate together across each age range to ensure no opportunities for learning are missed. Smooth transitions between age groups are handled with sensitivity and the extensive forest school and sporting sessions, led by a qualified a team, engage children of all ages.
