Together with the support of the Senior Leadership Team they ensure that your child receives the best start in life by attending Ashbridge Nursery.

Curriculum and Practice Manager
Qualifications: Level 3 Childcare
Career overview: I started working at Ashbridge in June 2012 and completed my Level 3 childcare qualficiation, working across all ages. I soon progressed to a Room Leader in the Baby Unit then took over Squirrels for a year. I October 2017 I progressed to Team Leader.
Professional interests: I am passionate about developing maths and literacy areas in our 2-3s rooms and outdoor play across nursery. I focus on engaging the children in focussed activities and tracking progress appropriately to look at ways of improving learning.
Personal interests: When not at work I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have two dogs which I enjoy walking.
Front of House Manager
Qualifications: NVQ 3
Career overview: I have been at Ashbridge for 16 years. I started as a Nursery Practitioner, before moving to Deputy Nursery Manager, Nursery Manager and now work as Nursery Co-ordinator working within School & Pre School.
Professional interests: I have a strong interest in the transition between 2-3’s to pre-school and the progression through to Reception class and focus on promoting the school throughout nursery and beyond. I have a lot of professional and personal pride in Ashbridge and its development.
Personal interests: I have two daughters; my eldest in Nursery Manager at Ashbridge on Ribble and my youngest is currently living in Canada. I have been married for 39 years and I love travelling, reading and ancestry.
Qualifications: BTec ND in Early Childhood Studies
Career overview: I have worked at Ashbridge since 2003, beginning as a Nursery Nurse and progressing through the company. I moved to The Fledglings as Deputy Manager in 2004, became Manager in 2005 returned to Lindle Lane in 2010, following maternity leave, as Team leader. In 2016 I was promoted to Nursery Manager.
Professional interests: I have a strong interest in staff development , using feedback through the appraisal system and through other mangers to make sure staff are attending training courses relevant and helpful to them.
Personal interests: I have two children and we love spending time together as a family, particularly walking our dog, Milo.
Early Years Teacher
Qualifications: BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS
Career overview: I have been working at Ashbridge since 2016 and in that time I have progressed from Nursery Practitioner to Early Years Teacher. During my time I have also completed a course on Autism as well as completing my Level 3 Forest leader training. I am currently completing training for being the Maths Champion at Lindle Lane.
Professional interests: My interests lie in working with children and encouraging them to reach their full potential. I also have an interest in English and Literacy, as this was my specialism at university, and promoting positive reading and literacy experiences for children both within Ashbridge and also at home.
Personal interests: I come from a family of teachers and I have always wanted to work with children. Outside of work I enjoy spending time in the country, and really enjoy walking.
Early Years Teacher
Qualifications: BA Hons Primary Education with QTS
Career overview: I have been at Ashbridge for 2.5 years. I started in the nursery working with 2-3’s in the December and was asked to become a pre-school teacher for the following year group within the first 6-7 months of working here.
Professional interests: Within the curriculum I am interested in promoting and developing Literacy as I feel that children respond well to familiar stories and by encouraging them to bring in stories from home it engages them well. I also feel you can further develop other areas in the classroom using the books they show interest in.
Personal interests: My personal interests are, swimming, walking in The Lakes and being outdoors, I love to read books in my free time. My son also attends Ashbridge nursery, he always has a smile for the girls and is excited to see them every morning.
