Our Maxy Farm children’s nursery is nestled in a beautiful rural location, in the area of Cottam.

Our spectacular nursery building was purpose built to suit the needs of each individual age group. All our classrooms are large, open plan and flooded with natural light. To ensure our classrooms are calming and welcoming we have neutral backgrounds, wooden materials, and plenty of natural resources. We make the nursery environment stimulating and inspiring by offering lots of open-ended, heuristic and reclaimed resources for the children to explore and spark their imaginations.

Each classroom has direct access to our wonderful outdoor facilities. These extensive facilities include an expansive grass area, a woodland area where our forest sessions take place, an adventure sandcastle with underground tunnels and slides, and a large rockery where children enjoy developing their gross motor skills as well as learning about safe risk taking. Our large kitchen garden is always popular with our children. Here they learn from our horticultural teacher how to grow and care for many different fruits, vegetables and plants. Children enjoy the organic fruits and vegetables they have grown during cooking and baking activities all year round. The children also enjoy visiting our very own chickens. Young babies also have regular opportunities to explore our beautiful extensive facilities without the need to leave the nursery grounds, through the use of specialised large prams.

Our large hall area is used for our extra-curricular sessions such as ‘Rugby Tots’ and ‘Zumbini’, and also has an indoor soft play area. We have a large sensory room with bubble tubes, LED lights and light projectors.

To make drop off and pick up stress-free for parents we have a large number of parking spaces right outside nursery, with safe paths to the nursery door. We also provide storage for car seats, and a shelter for prams should you need to leave these during the day.

The security and safety of our children is always at the forefront of our minds and we have many security features in place across the nursery including coded doors, CCTV, secure perimeters around the entire site, and much more.

To truly appreciate all that we can offer your child we recommend calling in to visit the nursery or calling us on 01772 733312 to make an appointment.
