Qualifications: BA (Hons) PGCE QTS
Career overview: I have always had a keen interest in working in the early years and whilst studying for my BA(Hons) in Children, Schools and Families I decided to specialise in Early Years, completing a PGCE in this area. I worked at a large nursery after graduating and quickly became part of the management team, before moving to be Nursery Manager at The Fledglings in 2021.
Professional interests: I feel the first years of a child’s life are fundamental to their future. If they are cared for, nurtured and allowed to learn freely they will develop a love for learning that will stick with them for life. I am really passionate about enabling the development of the whole child, especially looking after their mental wellbeing through activities such as mindfulness and yoga!
Personal interests: I am a mum myself to my little boy Herbie who attends The Fledglings; myself and my partner spend most of our spare time outside with him covered in mud and exploring to find new and exciting experiences for him!
