Outdoor Facilities

Across all Ashbridge Day Nurseries, we adopt an interest-led approach to teaching with a heavy emphasis on natural resources and exploration. Our unparalleled outdoor learning facilities at Ashbridge Nursery Hutton, such as the adventure playground and large rockery, have been designed to challenge the children and encourage safe risk-taking, under the supervision of our qualified and experienced practitioners.

Ashbridge Nursery Hutton is home to two forest areas with a campfire circle, treehouse, and Forest School. Nursery children use these spaces for independent exploration, children feel free to take their shoes off and connect with nature, and to sleep outdoors during nap time.

Meanwhile, our kitchen garden is always popular with our nursery children, who enjoy bringing home seasonal produce all year round.

Pre-school children benefit from a custom-built role-play ‘village’, which includes seasonal shops, roads, a construction site, and even a bandstand.

Indoor Facilities

Ashbridge Nursery Hutton caters to infants from three months to four years old and has dedicated spaces and rooms for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children. In addition to our spacious and calming classrooms, our nursery building has a large soft play and indoor adventure area, where all children can explore and develop their gross motor skills in a different and challenging environment. Our pre-school is situated within the infant building and consists of two large, airy classrooms which are flooded with natural light and an art studio – Atelier, where children enjoy daily access to the arts and regularly work together on immersive installations.
