We know that sending your baby to nursery can be daunting, which makes choosing the right setting all the more important. At Ashbridge Day Nurseries, we have created nurturing environments with dedicated facilities and a highly qualified and nurturing staff team to ensure infants thrive.
Nursery for Babies
Ashbridge Day Nurseries welcomes children as young as three months old across all four of our sites around the Preston area. All nurseries have dedicated baby rooms for infants up to 12 months old with specialist facilities, a wealth of resources and a highly qualified staff team. Children will be supported with their social, emotional, and physical development.
In line with our ethos and passion for outdoor learning, babies in our care have safe access to the outdoors from all classrooms, allowing them the opportunity to expand their learning environments. Additionally, all of our babies benefit from daily pram walks, to ensure they have plenty of fresh air throughout the day. All baby rooms are well-equipped with cots and coracles for cosy nap times.
The nurturing environment that has been created across all Ashbridge Day Nurseries ensures all babies feel safe, secure, happy, and comfortable in the care of our qualified, experienced and nurturing practitioners.

Ashbridge Day Nurseries offer 52-week care for infants from three months to four years old, where children will be nurtured by our highly qualified staff team, enjoy our fantastic facilities and enjoy nutritionally balanced, no-added-sugar meals.

Specialist Baby Rooms
Each Ashbridge Day Nursery has dedicated rooms and staff to care for babies as young as three months old. These rooms have specialist equipment, age-appropriate resources and all staff receive specific baby care training.

What do I need to bring to nursery for my baby?
When dropping your baby off at nursery, you should bring a bag with a couple of changes of clothes, including socks, wellies if the child is able to walk, comforters, or anything else you feel they need throughout the day to soothe them, such as teething gel/granules.
What does a typical day look like for babies in Ashbridge Day Nurseries?
After arriving at nursery, babies will be given their breakfast. From here they will engage in activities before they have their lunch and a nap. After nap time, babies are given a bottle when needed before heading to another set of activities. At 4 pm, babies will have their dinner and free play time until they are ready to be collected.
In baby care, we follow a routine so children can anticipate what is next, this includes regular nappy changes with their key person.
What does the nursery provide in terms of milk?
We provide cow’s milk for children, which is offered at breakfast time and after their afternoon sleep. We also provide Soya and Oat milk for those children who are unable to have cow’s milk.
Formula bottles are made fresh when the child needs them, so please bring sterilised bottles from home and either a container of formula or pre-measured formula in small plastic containers. Breast milk can be kept refrigerated in pouches and transferred to sterilised bottles when needed. All bottles will be cleaned but then sent home to be sterilised for when the child is next in nursery.
