Qualifications
L3 in Childcare Learning and Development
Career Overview
I started my career with Ashbridge at Hutton Nursery as the Nursery Chef in 2001. I held this position for three years before I decided to complete my L3 qualification when I then transferred to The Fledglings Nursery as the Deputy Manager for seven years. I became Head of Nursery at Ashbridge-on-Ribble and subsequently left to open our newest site, Maxy Farm, in 2017.
Professional and Personal Interests
I am so very passionate about child development and meeting new families for the first time, especially reassuring first-time mums and dads. I am very happy about this. My office is always open, and I am always ready to listen to worried parents and their concerns.
All three of my children attended Ashbridge, which has led to a strong foundation for their careers and adult lives. At home, I am often found with my husband watching our children play sports or with the love of our lives, the centre of our family, our dog Ralph.

Qualifications
L3 in Childcare and L3 in Leadership and Management
Career Overview
I began my career in Early Years at 16 when I enrolled on my L2 apprenticeship in childcare. Following my L2 apprenticeship, I got my first job at a nursery where I stayed for 7 years and completed my L3 in Childcare and my L3 in Leadership. In November 2017 I came to Ashbridge as a Nursery Practitioner and in the Summer of 2024, I very proudly became Nursery Manager.
Personal and Professional Interests
Allowing children access to a wide range of materials to express themselves creatively is where my passion truly lies. Children need freedom to explore the world and find their own way, creative play helps support this. In my personal time, I am often found with my daughter and partner on our paddle boards over in the Lake District; we take every opportunity to get outdoors. I enjoy socialising with my family and friends, and to relax and unwind, I really enjoy crime books and documentaries.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce
Career Overview
I have worked for Ashbridge since February 2015, originally starting my career at Ashbridge-on-Ribble, where I worked my way from practitioner to room leader. I then transferred over to Maxy Farm upon my return from maternity leave and have recently become Deputy Manager.
Professional and Personal Interests
I love all aspects of childhood development, but supporting communication and language has to be my favourite. Watching children’s faces light up as they learn to communicate and connect with others is amazing; I love teaching the children Makaton signs, too! I also have a very big love for children’s books and love to encourage children to foster a love for books and reading.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Stuart, two beautiful daughters, Ella and Edie, and our dog, Charlie.

Qualifications
Level 3 in Travel and Tourism
Career Overview
I joined Ashbridge at Maxy Farm in November 2023. Prior to this role, I have always worked in customer-facing roles. I enjoy a fast-paced office where I can mix with a lot of people. I love my role here at Ashbridge and being the first face many of our visitors and families see each day.
Professional and Personal Interests
My son attended Ashbridge, and it was a wonderful experience for him, which led me to work with the group. Outside of work, I love to hike with my friends and son and travel to new places with friends and family. Being the first face that our staff, parents, and visitors see is an aspect of my job that I really love, and I look forward to coming to work each day because of this.

Ashbridge at Maxy Farm Ofsted Report
Ashbridge at Maxy Farm is inspected by OFSTED and we are proud
to have been judged ‘good’ at our most recent inspection in June 2024.
“Staff’s support for children’s personal development is a strength of the nursery. Staff focus clearly on developing close bonds with babies and children. Older children are taught words to describe their emotions by able staff. Staff expertly plan and support children’s move to the next room and onwards to school. Consequently, children become self-assured and able to make relationships with key staff and their friends.”
