Outdoor Facilities

At Ashbridge Nursery at Maxy Farm, we wholeheartedly value the importance of outdoor play and exploration for developing children. Infants in our care benefit from open access to the outdoors from every classroom, giving them the freedom to expand their learning environments. Maxy Farm is a Forest School Nursery with two woodland areas where children enjoy dedicated lessons from trained Forest School Teachers. In the forest, children are encouraged to take their shoes off and connect with nature, climb over obstacles, and splash in puddles to truly explore the land around them.

The centre of our outdoor environment is home to an incredible adventure sandcastle and our Maxy Creek water play area. Here, children are free to climb, play, and let their imaginations run wild, assisting their social and physical development. Children also love to explore the amazing kitchen garden at Maxy Farm, where they can grow their own fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Indoor Facilities

Our spectacular nursery building was purpose-built to suit the needs of each individual age group. All of our classrooms are large, open-plan, and flooded with natural light.

Maxy Farm Nursery in Cottam is a safe and relaxing space for children aged three months to four years old. Our purpose-built facilities include sensory rooms, with bubble tubes, LED lights, and light projectors, and a Zen Den in which children can unwind in a calming, tranquil environment. The children often use these spaces to practise yoga and meditation for their holistic and emotional development.

Children attending Ashbridge Nursery in Cottam are enriched with incredible, daily access to the arts. Our dedicated art space, the Atelier, often features immersive installations created by the children themselves.

Our large hall area is used for sports and extra-curricular sessions with our sports coach.
