Ashbridge Day Nurseries Menu
We provide three home cooked meals a day and employ a dedicated catering team who cook nutritious meals from scratch each day with no-added sugar. We strongly believe that if children have been provided with nourishing food they will be happier and able to thrive.
We often celebrate cultural and religious festivals and events with a ‘special lunch’ which gives the children the opportunity to try something new. What kind of menu do we serve?
We have a rotating 4-week menu that our kitchen team cook fresh, from scratch every day. We use high-quality ingredients and cater for dietary requirements. Some of our favourites include Lancashire butter pie, chicken supreme, paella and fishcakes. We often serve ‘special’ meals for various occasions throughout the year, for example, dishes from all over Europe as a celebration for the Euros Football competition, hosting a Teddy Bears picnic for the children to have an afternoon tea with their teddy friends and a Chinese banquet to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Do you offer a Halal menu?
We offer an extensive vegetarian menu across all of our settings.
Can my child have breastmilk or formula at nursery?
Absolutely! Parents can bring in their child’s measured formula in a suitable container and a sterilised bottle for the feeds during the day. We can store breastmilk in our specialised milk kitchen fridges; we just ask that you don’t bring in breastmilk that has been frozen for over six months. Once your child moves away from formula or breastmilk, we provide whole milk from a local dairy farm, Holmes Farm. We also offer dairy-free options, such as oat or soya.
