Outdoor Facilities

At The Fledglings Nursery, we adopt an interest-led approach to early years education that places significant weight on outdoor learning. We therefore offer a range of outdoor facilities, including Forest School. Here, children are encouraged to climb, explore, and discover the world around them. Our countryside nursery location provides children at The Fledglings with a real-world context for anything they learn about the natural world.

Our outdoor adventure play area provides opportunities for managed risk-taking under the observation of our experienced, qualified, and dedicated practitioners. A covered area ensures children can expand their learning area beyond the classroom in all weathers. Based on the Myerscough College campus, the children enjoy walks on the grounds and have the opportunity to learn about farming, nature, and industry without leaving the site.

Indoor Facilities

The Fledglings Nursery provides outstanding care to infants from three months to four years old. With purpose built space, resources and a highly qualified staff team for each age group, we are able to offer children personal and nurturing support to enrich their learning journey.

Our baby room is cosy and relaxing, providing the perfect environment for our youngest babies. Meanwhile, our classrooms for older children are well-resourced, with a focus on natural materials to create a welcoming and homely feel.

Children attending The Fledglings Nursery benefit from an incredible range of facilities that allow them to express their personalities and explore their interests. Such facilities include musical instruments, sensory spaces, and a selection of arts and crafts. Providing abundant and well-resourced classrooms with a highly qualified staff team ensures that all children receive a well-rounded early years education.
