The Fledglings Nursery Ofsted Report

The Fledglings Nursery is registered with Ofsted and inspected by them as part of their usual nursery cycle. Inspections take place approximately every six years.

Ofsted Report

The Fledglings Nursery is registered with Ofsted and, as such, is inspected in line with Ofsted’s inspection cycle. Ofsted inspectors look at both the quality of education and care in nurseries and assess whether they meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory requirements.

Our most recent inspection was in October 2024, when we were judged to be Good in all areas. The report highlighted our support for our children’s communication and language skills and highlighted the good relationships children have with staff.

“Staff support children’s communication and language skills ably. For example, staff explain to children the names of the trees, plants and small creatures that live in the nursery’s wooded area. They help children remember such knowledge by using memorable phrases, such as ‘Bruce the Spruce’ to recall the name of a tree. Consequently, children develop an impressive vocabulary that supports them to hold detailed conversations with others.”
