Outdoor Learning

At Ashbridge, we wholeheartedly value and understand the importance of outdoor learning. All of our spacious and well-resourced classrooms have direct access to the outdoors, allowing pupils to extend their learning environment and maximise their time outside.

Sitting on 11 acres of land in rural Preston, our outdoor environment is entirely unrivalled and features a Forest School, on-site animals, a student-led greenhouse garden, an all-weather sports pitch, and an adventure playground, amongst a host of other incredible outdoor facilities.

Ashbridge pupils can expect to spend a significant portion of their TAPESTRY curriculum learning and exploring outdoors. Whether it be during Forest School, Horticultural lessons, or PE and Games, we value the importance of outdoor education for our pupils’ academic and holistic development.

Tech Hub

Our state-of-the-art Tech Hub features a broad range of cutting-edge technologies, including computers, robots, and a green screen. Here, pupils learn about and engage with innovative contemporary technologies to advance their digital, engineering, and technological skills. Getting hands-on experience with such advanced equipment is exciting, educational and can also help shape your child’s future career.

In acknowledging the role that technology plays in every aspect of life, tablets, alongside the use of our Tech Hub, are integrated parts of everyday learning at Ashbridge Independent School. Pupils are encouraged to use tablets to conduct research during lessons and are also taught how to use the internet safely to support their personal development.
