FAQs

What activities will my child do in Holiday Care?

We aim to make Holiday Care feel like a ‘home from home’ and offer a wide range of activities in a relaxed and friendly environment. Children spend a significant amount of time outdoors, exploring the grounds, playing on the adventure playgrounds, visiting our onsite animals and Forest School, gardening, and enjoying sports on the pitch. In addition, we welcome external providers to offer activities such as Ju-Jitsu, drumming workshops, drama, and yoga.

What should children wear/bring to Holiday Care?

Your child can come to Holiday Care in comfy clothes and trainers. All we ask is that they have outdoor clothes suitable to the weather, be that a raincoat or a sun hat! It’s a good idea to bring a water bottle, but we provide all meals so no food should be brought in. For Forest School days we ask for children to bring full waterproofs, a change of clothes and wellies. Electronic devices and mobile phones should not be brought to Holiday Care; it’s a chance for children to play and enjoy the outdoors without screens!

Who is eligible for Ashbridge Holiday Care?

Children must have started primary school, either at Ashbridge or another local school. This means they can attend from October half-term in Reception class. Children can continue attending Holiday Care until the end of the summer holidays when they leave Year 6. If your child has additional needs, we would meet with parents first to ensure we can meet a child’s needs within our staffing, before offering a place.
