The Outdoors

Sitting on 11 acres of land in rural Lancashire, Ashbridge Independent School is home to an unparalleled level of outdoor facilities. With all classrooms offering access to the outdoors, pupils are able to extend their learning environments beyond the classroom and benefit from an excellent outdoor education.

Academia

Our rigorous TAPESTRY private school curriculum has been designed to foster excellent academic achievements in our pupils. Pupils at Ashbridge Independent School undertake low-stress testing, where year on year, all classes achieve above or significantly above the national average.

Personal Development

Our responsibility as teachers is to provide our pupils with a comprehensive education, and this extends beyond the classroom. At Ashbridge, we take a whole child approach to teaching, ensuring that all children leave us as confident and well-rounded individuals with varied interests and a broad skill set.

Extracurricular

Ashbridge pupils have the opportunity to take part in over 25 extracurricular activities. Our extracurricular clubs are all-encompassing and range from singing to business enterprise, Jujitsu to Coding, where pupils are encouraged to explore their interests during after-school clubs.

Sport and Health

At the heart of the school grounds is an all-weather sports pitch, which is used by the children every day for PE and Games lessons, competitive fixtures, and playtime. At Ashbridge we firmly believe a strong physical education is essential for our pupils’ mental wellbeing and physical development.

The Performing Arts

Ashbridge pupils love to perform and can take advantage of the wealth of facilities we offer that are dedicated to the performing arts. Both as part of our TAPESTRY primary school curriculum and during extra-curricular clubs, we highly value and promote music and the arts.

Residentials and Trips

Providing children with the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills beyond the classroom is a key part of our ethos at Ashbridge, and we do this by offering a wide variety of school trips for all year groups, as well as residential stays for all Junior classes.

Your Voice

Ashbridge Independent School is a community with our children at its heart. It is of the utmost importance to us that our children feel heard, seen, respected and appreciated as valued members of our establishment. We care deeply about the well-being of our children, and their voices matter to us.
