At Ashbridge Independent School, our pupils are enriched by residentials and school trips to accelerate their learning and extend their teaching environments beyond the classroom, providing them with practical, hands-on experiences.
Primary School Residential Trips at Ashbridge
As educators, we at Ashbridge Independent School acknowledge that a child’s learning takes place both in and outside the classroom, which is why we take every opportunity to take our pupils on school trips, providing a real-world context to the subjects they are learning about in their TAPESTRY curriculum. We have found that applying knowledge learnt in the classroom to out-of-school experiences accelerates our pupils’ learning and helps to drive passion for their subjects. These class excursions include visiting the theatre, places of worship, the Houses of Parliament, museums, science centres, and many more.
Additionally, all Junior School pupils enjoy a residential experience, starting with one night away in Year 3 and building up to a full week in the Isle of Man in Year 6. These primary school residential trips are a great way to celebrate the hard work our pupils have demonstrated throughout the year and also promote independence and nurture our children’s holistic development.
